Rhys provided acoustic entertainment followed by a DJ set. All of our guests were commented on how great he was. Rhys was able to read the crowd and provided great tunes to get everyone on the dance floor. Combined with a Richard on sax during his dj set the dance floor was pumping. Originally hailing from Cairns, Rhys Tolhurst now resides in Melbourne. Rhys has performed for over 150 weddings, events for the likes of Aston Martin, Telstra, Birdcage (VRC) and has worked across Victoria in venues such as the MCG, Crown, Stones in the Yarra Valley, Immerse Winery, Chandon Winery, State Library of Victoria, Acacia Ridge, Higher Ground, Carlei Wines & many more.
Rhys was a Finalist on Australia’s Got Talent (7 Network) and a judge on ‘All Together Now’ (7 Network). He is currently one of the lead singers on TV’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ (7 Network).
Whether it’s performing Acoustically with his Guitar & Loop Pedal, crooning an audience whilst playing a Piano or hyping up the crowd on the dancefloor and DJing, Rhys is extremely kind and approachable and leaves all guests feeling entertained.
Rhys works in either his Solo Acoustic format (Vocals, Guitar & Loop Pedal) or Solo Piano (Vocals, Piano) & can add on DJing.
With his roots in Jazz, Rhys also has a Jazz/Soul Band 'Santa Monica Jazz Band' for speciality events.
